Morning Scripture
“These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him. Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” John 12:41-43 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.12.41-43.NKJV “Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of the Messiah’s glory. Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.” John 12:41-43 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/jhn.12.41-43.NLT |
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Father God, grant us courage, we pray. The courage to have the conviction in our hearts to speak boldly and truthfully about the joy of salvation that you have given us. Father, convict our hearts when we do not declare that you alone are worthy to be praised. Remind us, Father, that not only should we confess our sins, but we should also confess that we love you, Lord, we are grateful for your blessings, and we praise your holy name. In Jesus’ name we pray, praise, and shout Hallelujah. Amen. No, I did not forget the issue - that the Pharisees valued praise of self over praising God. But if we focus on praising God and what He has done for us, we won’t even have time to think about ourselves. Well, maybe that’s just me. GLORY TO GOD. Amen PS. I must say, this scripture and prayer excited me. LOL |

Morning Scripture
“Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” John 12:44-46 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.12.44-46.NKJV “Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” John 12:44-46 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/jhn.12.44-46.NLT |
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Father God, from the beginning, you have expressed your connection to the Father. From the beginning, you have expressed your desire and mission to lead us to the Light of Joy and Salvation. From the beginning, you have asked us to trust in you. Father, forgive us when we miss the signs and the path you have outlined for us. For some, it’s deliberate, and for others, it’s a true misstep. Continue, Father, to breathe Life and Love into our hearts. We are forever grateful for your care. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen and thank you, Jesus. |
